The Madman occasionally catches flack from friends – all three of them…ok both of them – for attacking fellow Republicans. The sad fact is that, while we fully expect them to make an earnest push in 2008, we just don’t find the local Democrats very interesting. Annoying, wrong, obnoxious, but not interesting. Like a disturbed step-brother, the Harris County Democrat Party is often loud but rarely worth discussing.
However, in honor of Gampy Reagan’s 11th Commandment, we’d like to discuss something important one of our local Republicans is working on. State Senator Kyle Janek, formerly of West U, has launched a valiant crusade against steroids in high schools. This is noteworthy.
While some people glibly encourage illegal drug use among adolescents, Kyle Janek bravely says “NO!” Almost single-handedly, Janek has taken a symbolic stance against one aspect of a much larger problem. Good work, Senator-Doctor guy!
In other news, drunk-driving and rape are bad. But maybe everyone agrees on that. Well, everyone except Judge Roger Bridgwater. But at least Senator Janek is willing to take the tough stands in between crying out for more state spending.

Boooor-ring!
Kyle hate steroids. Steroids BaD. Living outside district GOOD.
Steroids???????? What about tax cuts, Kyle??? What about tax cuts????? What about tax cuts????? Huh???? What about TAX CUTS????? Jesus Christ, I hope Kyle has moved!!!!!!
Janek is a RINO anyway so don't expect him to take any strong stances on something controversial.
Did you know he doesn't even live in his district any more? Janek had a garage sale a couple months ago and told the reporters he was moving near us in Fort Bend, but instead he bought a mansion in Austin and has been there ever since.
